World of Warcraft Zangarmarsh Guilds
What does "Raiding" on WoW mean?
The their site, they put: We be Scurvy Dogs, a horde-side World of Warcraft guild on Zangarmarsh server. We are a moderately pirate-themed guild, focusing on end-game raiding.
What does "raiding" really mean, and why do people get so hooked on doing it on wow?
Raids are the bigger dungeons that need more people than a normal group of 5 - usually 10 or 25. If you're in a raid group you can't complete any quests that aren't marked 'raid'.
Raids aren't always in instances, often they're for PvP like attacking enemy cities.
Why do people like raids so much... partly because of the loot, you can get some good epic stuff in them, especially on heroic difficulty. Partly because it's fun, it's social, because of the challenge, and partly I guess because there's only so much to do once you hit level 80.
